What are the requirements for First Class Airman Medical Certificates?

Eye (67.103):
Distant visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye separately, with or without corrective lenses.
Near vision of 20/40 or better, Snellen equivalent of 16 inches in each eye separately, with or without corrective lenses. If age 50 or greater intermediate vision must also be tested at 32 inches, and found to be corrected to 20/40 or better.
Color vision is determined as the ability tp perceive those colors necessary for performance of airman duties.

Ear (67.105)
Pilot must demonstrate hearing of an average conversational voice in a quiet room, using both ears at six feet, with back turned to the examiner, OR pass one of the following audiometric tests:
Audiometric speech discrimination test. Score at least 70% in one ear.
Pass pure tone audiometric test.
No disease or condition manifested by, or that may reasonably be expected to be manifested by, vertigo or a disturbance of speech or equilibrium.

Mental (67.107)
No diagnosis of psychosis, or bipolar disorder, or severe personality disorders. No history of substance dependence, except where there is established clinical evidence, acceptable by the Federal Air Surgeon, of recovery, including sustained control of abstinence from the substance(s) for not less than the preceding two years.
Pulse and Blood Pressure-
Pulse readings are not disqualifying per se. Used to determine cardiac system status and responsiveness. Blood pressure readings are to be interpreted by the AME.

EKG-
A modemed EKG must be conducted at age 35, and annually after age 40.

Neurologic Conditions (67.109)
No history of seizure, epilepsy, psychosis, or severe personality disorders.

Cardiovascular Conditions (67.111)
No established history of clincial diagnosis of myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, coronary heart disease, cardiac valve replacement, heart transplant, or permanent cardiac pacemaker.

General Medical Conditions (67.113)
No history or diagnosis of diabets that requires insulin or other hypoglycemic drugs. No medication(s) that makes a person unable to perform the duties of the class of medical certificate applied for.
