Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs): An FAA database of certificates issued with FAA approval to modify an aircraft from its original design. The STC, which incorporates by reference the related type certificate, approves not only the modification but how that modification affects the original design.
Technical Standards Orders (TSOs): An FAA database of minimum performance standards issued by the Administrator for specified materials, parts, processes, and appliances used on civil aircraft.
Type Certificate Data Sheets (TCDS): An FAA database of Make and Model information. The TCDS is a formal description of the aircraft, engine or propeller.
