We asked to do a Touch and Go with a DC-10 at Palmdale (CA).
The tower asked us to start a right turn before crossing 17th st. for noise abatement.
After the takeoff, we climbed to about 300ft then let the aircraft settle down to about 200 before continuing the climb.
The tower asked if we had a problem.
We advised that we were only trying to read the street signs.
