Back in the early sixty's, I was flying into Birmingham in my Tri-pacer of which I was very proud.

The ceiling was low with light rain, I was making an ILS and the controller told a United Caravel that he need to slow up a little because he was number two behind a Tri-Pacer making an ILS.

The United pilot said "what in the world is a slow airplane like a Tri-Pacer doing up on a day like this". Before the controller could answer, I came back with "I may be slow, but I am ahead of you".
