Perfection
In a world of perfection and idyllic dreams
A soul such as yours would capture my own
I would dance with wild passion
And let the ecstasy of you be my life force.
You would fill me from my fingers to my toes
Without caution I could be free
And see beauty where once there was none
With wild abandon shimmering blackness would be
blue.
In a world of perfection and idyllic dreams
The things I ache for would be within my reach
A new adventure each day would come with
The mere touch of a gentle breeze.
Each breath I inhale would be of you
Giving me the will to stand in the line of
accusation To live or to perish
To be sustained when all may well be lost.
In a world of perfection and idyllic dreams
A soul such as yours has captured my own
My heart has danced with wild passion
Even if only for a moment in time.
I have inhaled you briefly and thrown caution to
the wind With fragments of a destination only
dreamed of You have flown alongside me
And given me my world of perfection and idyllic
dreams.
