To All Pilots and Aviation enthusiasts;

The final El Toro Marine Base Airshow, El Toro, Ca. had it's final touchdown today, Sunday April 27 1997 after the Blue Angels flew in the Grand Finale.

A sad day in the histoy of Aviation.

Thanks to the criminal cutbacks in the military, this is it. The final show. Over 1.7 million people jammed into El Toro over the three day show to watch the great flying, the WW2 Warbirds flyby, the Marine assult demonstration, B2 flyby, and the Blue Angels.

After 47 years of airshows--- Gone. Any future airshows in Southern California will be in San Diego at the MCAS Miramar site.
